Last term was a very sporty time for our young athletes here at Crosscrake School.  Many of our Years 3,4,5 and 6 children took part in Hockey and Lacrosse tournaments on the Dallam AstroTurf, thoroughly enjoying competing in such exciting matches.

Our brilliant gymnastics team (made up of Georgia, Nieve, Evelyn, Mia, Chloe F and Izzy) have enjoyed amazing success and some unforgettable experiences as they made their way through all 3 rounds of the Gymnastics Competition.  The first round (at Dallam School) saw them take away the 2nd place medal.  The second round (in Cartmel) went brilliantly; they won the 1st position trophy and secured a place in the final.  Just before the Easter holidays, the amazing team competed for one last time in Penrith, coming 6th place.  It’s fair to say the team were buzzing afterwards and we are very proud of them!

Class 4 put on a powerful performance in the Brewery Dance Platform, also just before Easter.  They performed their beautiful piece, which was based on rivers and the water cycle.  They told us that they felt really nervous beforehand (and Tom nearly missed performing after badly stubbing his toe on his way to the stage!) but they all made it up there and really enjoyed the experience.

We think they all deserved a good rest over the Easter holidays!  Go Crosscrake!
